At First Presbyterian Church we remind adults that no one is ever finished growing in faith. With this in mind we encourage all people to remain committed not only to worship but also leadership, study, and mission. The Presbyterian Church is unique in its leadership structure; the pastor does not run the church, an elected board of elders, composed of men and women, have final say on nearly all matters in the church. Participation is important and it reflects our belief that all people are equal in the eyes of God and as regards their callings to serve Christ. At First Presbyterian Church adults are encouraged to:
Study: Sunday School
Wednesday Night Celebration
Serve: Deacon
Elder
Fellowship: Weekly congregational dinners
Monthly women’s coffees
Summer baseball games
Fall football games with the youth
Reach Out: Our first adult mission trip this Fall
Weekly tutoring at Washington-Monroe
Community service projects
Christ calls us to follow him and at First Presbyterian Church we view this as a life long vocation.
